Would you upgrade to a H9 from the H7?

I did - I found the H7's passive noise cancellation to be utterly awful so the H9s were the obvious answer when they came out.

Yeah I really like them - they're really well built (just like the H7) and the sound quality is excellent. The noise cancellation isn't the best on the market (the Sony MDR-1000x's noise cancellation is considerably better but the H9's sound quality is far better than the 1000x).

I personally wouldn't go with anything else (tried the MDR-1000xs, QC36s, and some Sennhesier pair but I can't remember the model number) and preferred the H9 to all of them because of sound and design etc. It's always worth trying other headphones before you buy though, what works for me might not work for you :)

I wish the H9 would have USB C

Then it would have been a easy choice

I would stay with H7.
