Greetings all,

just got a BM6500 which has IR issues, meaning it does not react to commands from either BL1000 nor BL7000 remote controls ?

the BM stand-by dot is lit, I can manually :

switch it on, step through the 14 pre-set Tuner stations

for anything else I need the RC but no signals show any reaction on the BM ?

should I be looking at the IR receiver diode first or are there other more likely causes ?

as always, thank you so much for some guidance, ideas and suggestions.

Are you sure that you have not inadvertently put it into A.OPT 0, in which state it will not respond to IR commands?

Further to my last (had to check manual!), to put it into the correct IR option:

With the system switched off (red stand-by light showing)

On Beolink 1000, press SOUND, 1, STORE

Display should show a '1'.

... and it should now work!

Love to learn more about that 😁😁😁

thank you VERY much, indeed it worked !

I am not aware that I put the BM into that state, only rewired the transformer for 240VAC mains!

could this operation have done it ?

cheers

Great news!  I think perhaps the buttons SOUND, 0, STORE were inadvertently pressed on the remote - it would seem easy to do this by mistake!

And I am happy that my 1000th post here on Beoworld is to thank you for your thanks! Big Smile
