Attatching "Mini Retro games controller" to an old MX with scart.

My son just bought a little controller gadget in the hope it'd connect to our retro TV. It has white and yellow plugs for Video and Audio inputs but all the MX has is scarts. The instructions mention an RF modulator to connect the cables. Am I missing a trick?
