Hello everybody,

it (see attachment) is a cartridge from a Beogram 42 VF. It's original B&O. But it just says Bang & Olufsen on the inside. Nothing regarding the type. So which one is it?

Greetings,

Kai

Looks like an SP6/7 - the SP1/2 doesn't have the flat panel like that. It could be a non B&O stylus - have a very similar one.

Dear Peter,

thanks very much! It's most probably an original. It says Bang & Olufsen on the inside of it and nothing has been changed to the best of my knowledge. Didn't all SP6/7 have Sp6/7 written on them on the underside?

The coil is original, the needle is not.

All original needles had the B&O logo printed on the flat area underneath.

There were many producers of replacement needles for B&O in the 1960s and 1970s, very few put their logo etc. on them.
Some of them were actually quite good, others...well.. much less so.
