Hi you guys
I've purchased new addition to my collection: Beocenter 8500
To my knowledge (haven't collect it yet) there's just broken corner of glass (outside the control area) and nr 4 track is intermittent.
Thanks
Don't worry - be Happy
Hi. You can still get the glass panels from Bang&Olufsen.
Best wishes, George.

For that amount you can buy a 2nd hand Beocenter 8500

Yeah, it seem that to buy another unit be the right way (not), but I would have all spares doubled for the price of 1 panel - way to go
Thanks for that and no offence but do that would sort of defeat the subject - I'm cheap !!!

In that case, I think I would just live with the broken corner unless it's very obvious. There's little chance of getting a new panel for peanuts unless you're willing to wait for a long time for a lucky strike - but meanwhile you can just use the system.
The intermittent key most probably has nothing to do with the glass itself, it just needs to be reattached to the frame. If it has any extra distance to the circuit board below, the controls start to get unsensitive.

Hi and thanks for your reply,
I just realized that I've might made long lasting impression that I'm "Scottish" cheap ...
I'm just a poor boy ....but pay fair (asking) price for bits they're needed
Taking into account that unlike many of you guys - I've started to collect B&O just few months ago and now have 4 systems, 5 pairs of speakers, 2 Avant TV's, DVD1, BG CD4500, some remote's and few other collectibles and many of them in need of attention - hence cost quickly amounts.
Saying that I like all units to be restored and functional to its (and mine) best ability, and some I'm in process forced to sell
I will (lift the bonnet soon and check everything before) set the system into its deserving place & to work with Avant, DVD1 and Dolby Pro-logic Surround sound system in conjunction with my BC 3500 and pair of 3702 living in the Vintage corner (haven't got space for rear set of S45.s)
I'm very patient man these days and I will wait for pray for months hoping something will come along (maybe perhaps even nice Beolabs) - that's the main advantage of getting old - sorry cannot remember the other ones now
Yes the panel damage doesn't effects the controls only effects the appearance of the unit (maybe liquid glass or something can do until other came along) - I will surely have a go later. Having Beolink 1000, Beolink 5000 (replacement) and Beo 4 at disposal don't really use keys anyway, unlike on my BC3500, where that is the best part of the ritual ;)
Thank you anyway

Just curious (I cannot see difference at glance - but haven't spent much time on it being snowed under other things) if glass from BC9300 will fit as there is 2 not so expensive ones for parts or repair available.
thanks all
