Given the many posts recently about B&O losing its way it's good to see the company still manages to hold a place in the top 10 cool brands in the UK, whcih were announced today - see www.coolbrands.co.uk

OK, so Apple came first, but B&O got in there at number 9. Whether it will hold that place once the self-appointed style experts that make up the panel get a close up view of the Playmaker is another question!

Haven't we call come to the conclusion a year or so ago that this "cool" list is created by a selection of judges, rather than the average man on the street. I mean, Skype as a cool brand?

Have you seen some of the judges ? They look like rejects from celebrity suicide.

As Moxxey says, this thread pops up every year when this meaningless list is published. It seems the publishing company "Superbrands" exists solely to compile this list, therefore where does the money come from to pay the people who do the survey and compile the results? More to the point, what influence does it have and on who?

Marketing navel fluff!!

Ban boring signatures!

It is just an English adjective, meaning  fun, fresh, interesting, and I will add innovative.

I am drawn to both products for the very same reasons, and I agree they are "cool. "

Flappo, I had a hunch you might respond to this. I'm glad to hear you are still alive and with us !
