I have an HDR1 feeding my BV5 with a Freeview signal.  I've noticed that on replay, roughly every three minutes there is a momentary loss of sound. The picture is perfect and unaffected.

Any thoughts? I can live with it, but it's one of those things that once you notice it can become rather annoying!

Anyone?

Has anyone noticed anything similar with their HDR? I would guess that every third time that this momentary silence occurs it takes out one word of dialogue... in the same way that a call waiting bleep on a telephone usually make you miss one word (except the HDR bleep is silent!)

With zero experience of a HDR1, I am guessing you do not have any problem while watching live television ?

If it was a recording/storage issue it would have to effect the picture.

How popular are the HDR1/2 with Beoworld members ? They are not something I see cropping up much.

Live television is fine. Sound issue only occurs on playback. No corresponding picture problem on playback.

My HDR1 was a low cost way of getting an up-to-date STB chip for my BV5. Having said that, the live pause and record/ playback features are getting more and more use. Apart from the live pausing, the other frequent  mode of use is to record from Freeview whilst watching Freesat/Sky on the other scart, all controlled by the Beo4.
