Hello to all. How can I create a 5 + 1 system with B & O speakers but with non-B & O TV?
Is there a dolby card to connect to the digital audio output of the TV, with output 5 + 1, to connect our Beolab cases?
I do not want to use the usual amplifiers YAMAHA, DENON, etc.
I watch movies on NETFLIX, Infinity or SKY.
Example my configuration:
Central Beolab 7.6
Beolab Fronts 20
Rear Beolab 18
Subwoofer Beolab 2

Other than B&O and Loewe, most TVs only have stereo audio processing included. Hence, to get Dolby surround sound, the simplest option is usually to add an AV receiver. Please look for a receiver with pre-out sockets fitted on all channels (there isn't any easy way to get surround sound on most TVs without a receiver).
I would suggest looking at the Pioneer SC-LX59, Denon AVR-X3300, Yamaha RX-A830 or RX-V775 or Onkyo TX-NR828 AV processors/receivers, all of which have audio pre-out sockets for easy connection of Beolab speakers for a Dolby surround sound setup.
You can connect stereo Beolab speakers (eg. Beolabs 18, 20, etc) to one of these processors using these cables (if you choose the "standard" cable, then one set of cables is needed for each pair of speakers to be connected, if you choose the "high-end" cables, then you need one cable for each speaker):-

For the Beolab 2 subwoofer and the Beolab 7-6 centre speaker, these each need a special powered cable to generate the trigger signals that would normally be sent from a B&O television:-

You can also use an Oppo BluRay player, it has an HDMI in for a cable box or streaming box, as well as having 5.1 line level outputs. So it acts like a disc player and an audio processor at the same time.

I had forgotten about the Oppo players! The BDP-203 is a good option, cabling to connect your Beolab speakers would be the same as for an AV receiver with pre-outs.

I do like the Oppo BluRay player. I just wonder if there is another similar unit that has maybe 4 HDMI inputs. Kind of in lieu of a Beosystem 5...

Could you use the Beo Transmitter 1? WOuld that give you the same thing?

Transmitter 1 isn't an audio decoder, it only passes on the audio channels that it receives. Hence, you would need a device (AV receiver, Oppo player, etc) to decode the surround sound channels first. If you wanted a wireless connection to the speakers, you could then connect the receiver to a Transmitter 1 to send the decoded audio channels to B&O wireless speakers.

So therefore if I didn’t want to have a AV Receiver, i would go down the OPPO route instead and if i wanted wireless thats when i would go down the transmitter path.
