matador43: I have had the same sort of problem: I bought a BEO IR to RF translator to a fellow guy named Revox Beo.That box works with Intertechno plugs which are not easy to find here in France and costs around 40€ for 3 plugs. Close to me a warehouse shop sells a set of 4 plugs for 25€: same shape, same electronics same "all".Just the RF code or frequencies or whatever it is not the same. I understand the industrial logic but its quite enraging when you want to upgrade your setup not to mention the very poor aftermarket experience I had with Intertechno when one receiver failed.

Unfortunately, it becomes a case of trial and error. This is fine if you can get a full refund if they don't work.
Do you have any more details re your BEO IR to RF translator? Make, model perhaps a photo. It may help me and others to suggest what plugs may work.
Thanks

Hi Stoobie,
Here is the link to the guy's website : https://revoxbeo.jimdofree.com/bang-olufsen/
You'll find the picture of the translator, just a little black box similar to a small Lintronic box.The better is to contact him as it can do tailor made solution depending of the number of channel needed and your ability to source the intertechno switches by yourself. I must add he offer great after sales service as mine did develop a RF chip problem and he sorted this quickly. It may be a year now that i'm using it and i'm quite happy with it in conjunction with a timer remote.
The only downside is an erratic behavior (but still useable) if you have a beo4 mod like the bosscom board. But all good since using Beo6.
As for the plugs it's only Intertechno as they're the ones he has access to. I wondered if i could send him one of my cheapest one for him to makes them working but i dropped the idea as i was fine with what i had…
Yes, I think with bespoke items like that, it is best to contact the vendor.
Sorry I can't assist further.
Stoobietoo:Sorry I can't assist further.
Oh sorry, I misread your post; I was thinking you were asking for details on the experience on the long term…
No problem and no assistance needed: having very bad contact with the seller, I tried and managed to repair the switch by myself. Just needed to change the big yellow square capacitor i dont remember the special name right know and seems to be quite classic in that kind of devices as i believe it is in the LC2 too. Anyway, this is now working as expected…
Thank you for your concerns.
