Thank you for taking the time to take pictures and post them of your install. I absolutely love looking at photos of installs from the truck to the home. I've seen youtube footage of what it takes for the BL90s to be installed, i.e. the special cart, harnesses, handles, etc. Amazing that B&O thinks these things through.
Congratulations!
Can you post a picture of your "listening" position?
Ban boring signatures!
Well done - enjoy !
Dear Puncher,
The listening position is the mirror image of the last photo I posted.
The same couch on the opposite side of the room and instead of patio doors a wall.
When the Beogram CD7000 arrives, I will post photo of the listening position with the Beogram CD7000 and 7000 record player in the background.
I still need to tidy up and hide cables under the underfloor conduits.

I thought that it might be the couch in the house across the road.
Congratulations on what should be a great system!
Graham
I was thinking of doing a short write-up of my journey starting with why I moved on from BL5 and what I looked into and auditioned in the intervening years. The hope is that the article will help those wavering on whether to save up for a new/used pair and I'd like to post in hifi forums to increase exposure of B&O and help those that want a phenomenal audio system without massive monkey coffins, complexity of room EQ, racks full of black boxes wired in silver and coated in bling and wiring that costs four figure. There is another way, the enlightened B&O way...
Hi seethroughyou,
Thanks for posting the pics of your install, that is superb to see everything going into place. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the sound of Beolab 90 compared to Beolab 5 as an owner, once you have got used to the sound of the new speakers.
Your insight will be valuable, as those of us who can only listen to the speakers briefly in store tend to just get a quick snapshot of the differences, rather than the full picture.
PS. Nice looking cable in the second picture!
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

Well done, and good for you! It makes me happy to see people buying something which will bring great pleasure for many years. Put me down for them when you upgrade and I'm back on my feet
I had the pleasure of a full demo with Geoff Martin on these, and I can say that they are the best speakers I've ever heard in my life. It's like sitting in the front row of a live performance..
I won't say "enjoy them" - as you will, in spadefuls.

Install team look very professional, who are they?
The installers are Daniel and Martin from bang & Olufsen Exeter, a big thank you to them!
The installation of BL90 is a lot of effort and quite time consuming due their size and weight. They were patient and made sure i got a handle on the basics of everything before they made the 4.5 hour journey back when they left me at 5pm.
They seemed as excited as me; we were like giddy little school boys on Xmas day!
Martin was apparently a customer for years before joining their team and is true Beonut like us all here.
Matthew who couldn't join us as his wife was about to pop (have a baby) was charming, relaxed and very helpful over the phone and has made contact with me since as has Daniel to try and resolve some teething problems related to software so tehy were even more helpful after they'd sold, installed and left me. Matthew went to a school up the road from me in Reading and worked in B&O Reading and before that in B&B HiFi (now closed). I probably met him when i was in my late teens and bought my Denon Receiver and NAD CD player off that very store.
Something that expensive and ugly must have a redeeming feature, I can only assume that they sound fabulous!
Just my opinion.
Regards Graham

Hello Graham
If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.
Sal: Amazing that B&O thinks these things through.
Yeah, I wish.
The BL90’s are a real PITA for installation. I purchased pair #4 in the UK and the first for my Dealer as a customer install.
I watched all the YouTube vids on installation and then did all the homework on how to get these 140kg monsters into my 2nd floor flat.
Kerbs (kerb-Road side drop from direct delivery
Ramps, steps, embedded door mats in foyer. Usually no pallet lift or pallet trolley available from the courier.
Lifts - usually 800kg max load - so OK but the BL90 pallet (800mm Euro pallet is too wide to fit directly in. Need to dismount)
Needed to then travel down a corridor. Service skate ok.
Getting through front door - again too wide for pallet and Service Skate (which I ordered for my own future use). Carry through required.
The unbolting of lockdown brackets from the pallet, Service skate, lifting lugs etc....all PITA. On/off/off etc...
Gawd help anyone who has to navigate any steps or stairs!
Basically, they are heavy, no real easy way to move and very difficult to grapple/handle. Stealing them has to be near damn impossible unless the thief’s have a day to do the job. It really comes down to multiple muscle power and humping them to position. Makes you very nervous I can tell you. Doubly-so when you the have to do another house move on your own without expert installers.
Anyway, STY, enjoy your new toys. They are awesome!
