Hi Guys!

I was thinking the other day about the V1 speaker cover, it is so invisible (most of the time). I mean the colors, they dont shine thru very well. Some might even not like the round holes very much.

I got the idea to create kind of the same cover as on the BV10.

My design will probably be based on plastic, wood or something else wrapped in a thin speaker cloth. The cover will attatch thru a few of the round holes with rubber feet so vibrations will not occur and no scratches, and it will stick there.

Could be a nice design I think with many color possibilities and a little more exclusive design.

Thinking about doing a prototype soon, anyone want me to log the process here?

That sounds excellent and will make it look more appealing in my opinion. Please do give us a detailed log of how you get on. Maybe a 10-32 speaker cloth split in half would do the trick. Not split from top to bottom but split from left to right. There currently one on eBay uk for £75 and a 40" for £89.

Good look and keep us posted

The chassis is built out of metal surely the logically answer is a cover rectangle formed out of wood and covered in the speaker cloth colour of your choice and held in place by a magnet ?

No magnets. Attracts dust and might scratch/fall.

If the magnet was covered it would still work and wouldn't attract the dust. Personally I like the Tv the way it is.

The BV10 used magnetic covers but they had to change to Velcro because of the magnets made the fabric dirty.

I like the design now also but why not make it more personal if you want?

Dust is magnetic?

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad
