Hi all
I'm happy to announce that iPad support is now available on TestFlight for our beta users. We have been working on this for the last two months and are finally close to completion. The first version will not give you a new UI experience but will make everything work in landscape and portrait. Please try it out and let us know what you think. If you are not yet a beta user and want to become one, please send me a private message through this forum and i will add you.
Known issues
Player layout can break if orientation changes while on another page
Setup pages for Google Cast and BeoSound Shape are still not working well in landscape

I do not have the beta app. But can you please check if the following problem is fixed?
Setting:
BeoVision Avan 2014 with integrated BeoSound Essence 2.
B&O app 1.1.9.
When playing radio via the essence through the BV it is impossible to switch back to the BV via the app.
In the homescreen of the app, when you touch the BV the current device bar at the bottom keeps showing the essence.
As the BV sources are not shown in the source list of the essence it is not possible to switch from radio listening to TV watching via the app.

@Flere: We are working on integrated setup, but it will not be in this release but the next one. You could consider to be a beta tester on that perhaps? It is pretty complicated and we are looking for testers with real setups to verify all the use cases.

I am not so sure I am a good beta test candidate as I do not use Deezer or DLNA with the system. I stopped doing that after all the problems and limitations we experienced in the past.
Are you also going to improve/change the BL50 part of the app?
That part now feels like it is focussed on setting up and configuring the BL50. But once you have done that and you just want to be a happy user you very much would like to come into the listening use case when selecting the BL50 as device in the homescreen of the app.
For instance. 3rd party source connected to the optical input. All is calibrated and set-up. Pre-sets are made etc.
Now I start playing music at the 3rd party source and the BL50 will wake up automatically. I open the app, select the BL50 and I want to immediately come into the listening use case with volume and preset selection.
MrAndersen, any idea of a timeline for either DLNA search or better navigation options for those with large DLNA collections (i.e. browse by alphabet sidebar [a la Apple Contacts app]) may be implemented?

Can you fix the volume control on the Beomusic app as no volume control between Core and BL90 over Toslink only. I don’t want to change volume by switching between two different apps.
Can you also fix volume control in BL90 app as the volume control sticks and flicks backwards.

I think it´s the same when Moment is integrated with (as in my case) a Beovision 11.

How does the Moment implement search across a wide variety of music sources (including DLNA)?
Thank you for that... in the meantime, is the team exploring the idea of more efficient scrolling navigation for the user with large music libraries like the Apple Contacts or Music App, where there's the Alphabet browsing "bar" on the right side of the screen - as an intermediary step. If I want to scroll to "Z" on my medium sized music collection, it takes quite a while. So if search isn't on the near term, then perhaps the browse by letter is an option to consider in the near term?
Again, an app that enables the user to play music, without a search function is missing critical functionality by today's standards.

I like the App more and more, both the Ipad and Iphone version. However, I have a question and
Observations:
- the navigation setup to "go back" to the previous screen remains a bit confusing to me. Sometimes there is an arrow pointing down (eg. in the "now playing" screen), often there is an arrow pointing to the lift (eg. in the queue or in the deezer navigation), sometimes there is no arrow at all (eg. in the multi-room screen). I keep on feeling that it should be possible to have a more coherent navigation approach.
- Multi-room screen is kind of greyisch color, while all the other navigation screens are black or white. I would make this screen white as well, and only show grey for the multi-room groupings
- In the now playing screen, I miss the regular "Home/Multi room/Music/Radio" bar at the bottom. I feel it would be faster tand more consistent o navigate around than by using the arrow at the top, or the three dots at the right.
Question
In my setup I have an Essence in the kitchen, and a V1 in the living room. When I am in the living room, and select Tune-In (on the Essence) with the BeoRemote1, my V1 goes on, and starts to play TuneIn. The Essence in the kitchen remains silent. Same goes for Deezer.
However, I can't do the same with app. When trying to launch Tune-In from the V1 in the app, i gat an error message saying that this action is not support.
Is there a way we can do the same with the app as with the BeoOne remote on the V1?
I know my observations have very much to do with personal taste, so up to you and the team to figure out what works best. The function as described in my question is something I would really like to have!

Yes i experience the same issue - i can start Music / TuneIn / Deezer with on my Avant with the Beoremote One, but when i try to with the app it doesnt work.....so what is possible with the remote is not always possible with the app, even at a basic level.
On the colour issue - i dont have this "problem"...on my iOS decvices, it is only the multiform part that appears grey, the rest of the screen is white - i think that makes sense to distinguish between what is / isnt part of a speaker group.

We plan to do the same just on the phone, we our tests show that we can do it a lot faster on the phone. The "phone book" approach will work well for Deezer for DLNA it is harder since it is send in "pages". Meaning we do not have p artists when the view loads and do not know on which page it recides since it works with numbered items. When we harvest and build a DB we will be able to do something here as well
@jans: Thanks for feedback! I have forwarded it to our UX designer. About your question. I assume they are in an integrated setup. This is something we are currently working on and it will be supported in the next version.

Thank you for the very educational update. I appreciate it. I didn't know how DB generation and harvesting worked. Glad to hear that the phone can do this a lot faster. Looking forward to it when it is implemented... any word on a rough estimate on a timeline for roll out? Eager customers are waiting :-)
Is it currently possible on the Bang & Olufsen app to select between different locations? For example, I would like to just see my home items on one screen yet see my office items on another screen as a different location. I can't tell if that's already possible. If it is, I can't figure out how to set up the second location.
I do not have the beta app. But can you please check if the following problem is fixed in the new app?
According to iOS the B&O app consumed 57% of the battery by the time the battery went into the red zone.
Updated my app....and saw that the iPad version is there - for everyone.

Next step - I hope - will be to make it possible from within the app to start audio sources on the tv's.
Starting the NetRadio on the tv would be great or chose the tv as player for the DLNA collection etc.
By the way, the content of the/my NAS is show real quick now.
...and how about being able to choose a 'black' or a 'white' theme?
I'd prefer the 'black' - the 'white' is too bright....especially in the evening/at night.
completely agree.....black is much better to me.
White looks unfinished, like a draft version.
Black backgrounds look better, as they do in Spotify and Tidal.

The last update to the app seems to have broken a bunch of things. I can no longer find my DLNA server (Twonky on a Mac Pro) which my Moment has no trouble with (never thought I'd say that!) and I am unable to play from Apple Music for more than a few minutes before the song gets cut off. Either one of those issues on their own wouldn't be a big issue, but to have both really sucks.
Battery issues is our highest priority right now, and has been for a while. It has proven to be the hardest one yet.
@Rudi: Yes will support re-arrange. Not sure about he Apple watch, I think it is more and more turning into a fitness device and I'm unsure on how many will use it on a day to day basis

There is no volume control of the ML v.master TVs set to be controlled though the app via BLC. Nor is there volume control of Moments using those TVs' speakers.
