Beocom Telephone 2000 Help needed - how to replace handset cord /open up handset?? Help!

Can anyone help..

I have a good working Beocom 2000, but the handset cord is damaged.

I can get into most things but cannot see how to open open the handset without damaging it...

BTW.. it doesn't seem to be an RJ11 plug/socket that can be parted from outside the handset :0(
