hi all,
this subject has been discussed in the past but i have read different things .
since a few weeks owning a Beovision 11-40 . Really impressed with the speakers so I actually would love to be able to use the built in speakers for Spotify connect (screen dimmed) .
Already discovered the built in Spotify app is obsolete. What are my other options now for Spotify connect?
Essence? Moment?
If the Spotify Connect option is not possible the built in Radio would be second choice as a music source, already use that quit a lot which brings me to my last question. During the day we switch volume levels quit a lot or actually playing/pausing the music. Grabbing the remote is not always very comfortable, if I would by JUST the remote disc button from essence , would I be able to configure it as an extra control knob in the house for the BV11, only options necessary changing the volume and or pausing/continuing playback internet radio. Many thanks for your advices!
For getting Spotify Connect on the BV11, please read the post of beomegaman in this thread:

No suggestion for the last question!

There is a tv - and there is a BV
For a BeoVision 10, I installed an Apple AirPort Express and hooked up its audio cable but no video cable to the paired input. Sure, it isn't B&O, and you can't see the "curtains" draw back when powering up, and you don't get to drive the app on the TV screen. BUT. It's super-cheap, tiny, and best of all... it just works!!!
Its failing of course is integration, because you have to choose an input on the TV, an extra step beyond simply using the Spotify Connect app. (It's like having to power up your old Beo audio system to "AUX" or "A.MEM" to get the input from an external device, as opposed to a BeoPlay A6/A9 where you directly pick it from Spotify as the target.) But that other thread (see above) says something about configuring "PRODUCT 1" with the Essence, which doesn't sound very integrated to me...
(Notes: 1) You can rename the AirPlay audio of the AirPort Express to "Beo11-40 AUX" or whatever, so it looks good on your iDevice. 2) If you have WiFi already in your location, you want to configure the AirPort Express to be a *user* of your network, not to extend or create a new network (unless you need that functionality too).)

Thanks for all the advice gents.
I will have a detailed look in all the suggestions. However, these could all work but seem pretty far away from a one touch music solution so i may just be lazy and spent another few euro’s on one of those nifty Besound 2 things.... :)
Just out of curiosity How would you guys rate the sound quality from the Beovision 11 compared to the beoplay products?
i have owned the Beosound 8 and the BV11 sounds better then that. Who has a Beoplay A6 and BV11? Similar ?
