I have read on this site some problems with Beolink battery replacement. I had my batteries replaced by an engineer about a year ago, now the remote lights up, and sits up when placed on a table, but no contact at all. Is there another small battery that needs to be changed as well? Thanks so much for any info, as I have been out of the loop for a dozen years. Just been using a Beolink and Beo4 for the remotes. My 2 Beolink master controls will work, but neither one can change the volume. I've heard this is common, but I can't determine what is wrong. As always, thanks sincerely for any advice.

You need to change the capacitors for the IR receiver, and it would be good to change the backup battery also.

Her is a thread about the recap and new backlight, it also shows the backup battery change

If your batteries were changed, it has probably reverted to 2 way operation and will need to be reset to single way operating when used with a non 2 way Beomasters

Hello,
Sorry for my English
I'm new to the forum.
I have a problem with Beolink 7000.
I bought a full audio system in the UK from the B & O dealer - Beosystem 7000 with Beovox Penta speakers and Beolink 1000 and Beolink 7000 pilots.I have a question about the functionality of Beolink 7000.My model is type 1541 serial number 09353183 GB No SW 2.1.The RDS beolink is written on the sticker on the back of the remote control. Does this pilot model actually have an RDS function? In addition, how to run bidirectional functionality. The pilot sends messages to Beosystem, but does not receive information from the system. When using the radio, there is no station name, and for example when the CD is used, there is no track number, volume level (red status). On the blue display (white letters), for example when playing a CD, there is no information on the number of songs. How to program a timer on this remote. In addition, on the information boards on the back Beogram and Beogram CD next to the name Bang & Olufsen is 1987. Where from 1987, when the Beosystem 7000 was produced in 1992-1995?RegardsMariusz, Poland

Thank you, Lawrence, for a very quick response,
I can not, unfortunately, locate the 2-way position in the system / audio option.
On my beolink I go into the panel - setup - display system - compnts - audio, but I do not see the 2 - way position.

I do not have system options on the red boxes.
I only have the display system option on the blue display (white letters) after selecting PANEL (red), then SETUP (blue display - white subtitles) and then DISPLAY SYSTEM - COMPNTS - AUDIO (white), but then there are only for selecting the audio track source (radio / a.tape / cd / phono).
Can you give me the exact path of the proceedings.
I will be very grateful.
Maybe this can help?

There is a tv - and there is a BV
I use the indicated path - [panel] [setup] [system] [compnts] [audio] [store] and after pressing the store, the _"wait" message appears, and then nothing changes.
But, after pressing source on beolink
message appears
No contact
TV
RADIO A.TAPE CD PHONO
but I do not have no tv receiver of the b & o brand.
I removed "tv" from selected sources, and the "no contact" message appeared after my previous attempts to set the clock and timer - the message "programmed" and then "no contact" appeared.
