Hi
Local B&O shop gave me 3 Beotalk 1200's for free as they know I'm B&O crazy but there are no power supplies with the Beotalks. Is per chance someone who knows which is pin is which in the connector that goes into the Beotalk. From what I can see on the net it only has 2 pins that are used.
Not exactly a sought after item but I'd love to get one going at least.
Thanks
Ben
If it's the same wiring as the power cable to the BC6000 (BC1) connector, then this may help: http://archivedarchivedforum2.beoworld.org/media/p/270474.aspx
Thanks for the link Guy, will check it out.
Hello,
I have the same problem: Beotalk 1200 without the cables.
LIke you, I would like to get it going... Did you manage to get or make the cable?
Thanks,
Eli
Hi Eli
Yes I did, it was quite easy...just need the right power supply, cable and the crimping tool to crimp the connector on.
Unfortunately I can't remember which way they wires went etc....I will have a look and if I can work it out again I'll let you know.
Just saw this and realised that my link above was not working. Here it is again: https://archivedarchivedforum2.beoworld.org/media/p/270474.aspx
Thanks.
Hope you can find it.
Hi Guy,
Is this the same for the Beotalk 1200?
elinap: Hi Guy, Is this the same for the Beotalk 1200?
Sorry but I am not sure! I was suggesting that solution to BenSA so hopefully he will come back to you with an answer!
I only connected the power as I am using it as a clock not an answering machine.
I have attached a pic of the power supply I used. The black and yellow wires (most outer wires) on the telephone plug are the power wires.
Rest are for the telephone signals. Hope that helps.
Thanks very much. I can now start looking around for a similar power supply.
"Black and yellow wires on the telephone plug" is this the plug that goes into the BeoTalk? Are these the outside connections of the plug?
Which way is the connection of the + (positive) and - (earth) wires from the power supply to the black yellow cables?
Thanks and best regards.
"... I will get it working..."
Forgot something:
Is this connection to the Beotalk 1200? If not, is it the same for it?
Yes for the Beotalk 1200......I honestly can't remember which way the wiring goes. As for as I can remember the first time I connected the wires it didn't work then I swopped the wires and it worked. Didn't do anything to damage the unit, works fine.
It is the plug that goes to the back of the Beotalk, the telephone plug. Outside wires for power, inside wires for the actual telephone communication.
Thanks for your reply and explanations.
Now I will get the power supply and try it as you suggest. First get it working, then connect the phone lines.
Best regards.
