Hi everyone

just got the new Beoplay E8 wireless buds. They are really great sound awesome, everything is really well thought out. The one thing though that I'm struggling with is pairing them with two devices. I am trying to use them with an iphone and Ipad (both on ios 11). They both connect fine, and I've installed the Beoplay app on both.

The problem comes when i try to switch devices. Unless I disable Bluetooth on the previous device or go back in pairing mode on the earbuds, the second device won't connect to the E8s. The weird thing is if I go into Bluetooth and manually connect, the E8s connect to the new device but no sound comes through. And the same happens if i manually use the Beoplay app to connect to the earbuds.

It's weird and I'm wondering if I'm missing something or doing something wrong. Any input would be great.

Thanks!

I don't think it's possible unfortunately. I'm fairly sure the H4s are the only headphones that B&O advertise as supporting multiple devices which is a huge shame when other manufacturers seem to manage to do it.

Just tried with my E8s and am having the same problems as you Sad

Thanks for the reply and confirming I'm not crazy ;)

Well that sucks then, I was really hoping that this would not be an issue. Guess I will have to look elsewhere, but AFAIK only airpods are doing this right and i really really wanted to avoid them. Oh well...

If anyone finds a workaround for this please let me know. Thanks.

Actually AirPods do this VERY well, among other things. And the sound is not THAT bad, IMHO...

I have issues with their fit and looks. Also it sucks because the E8s are great in every other respect. It's annoying to have to return them just for this one thing, but it is very important to me.

The obvious solution is to just buy multiple pairs of E8s for each device Wink Laughing

I realise this is quite old now but you're not the only one. It surprises me how often MAJOR features like this get left out. It's not uncommon for someone to listen to their phone on the commute then listen to their laptop. It seems all the effort B&O put into their products is into design and sound quality, they don't actually seem to test them in an everyday scenario. It's a massive shame because they have the potential to deliver amazing products.

I have the E8 for quite some time now and I always thought that it was not possible to pair them to two devices at the same time.

About 2 weeks ago I tried it again on my Windows Laptop and my Android Phone and surprisingly it works Big Smile

I don't know why and how, but it does work. I have to stop/pause Playback on one device in order to start Playback on the other, but that is ok and a lot better than Pairing and unpairing the headphones.

I tried to find out if there was an Firmware Update but I can't get the Beoplay app to find my Headphones. As Long as the mutliple pairing works, I don't care about the app Wink
