Since I got a Beotime I want to wake up to a special song. I have thus started to use the numbered favorites list and found out that it is not working properly.
I choose a song, I push GO and drop it on no 1 in the list. So far is everything OK. When I then choose the no 1 song and press GO to listen to it BS5 plays an entirely different song.
I have tried with a lot of different songs and BS5/BM5 shows the same behavior. Can someone figure out why?
I use the BM5 to store all the songs. I have had the BS5/BM5 for more than 3 years. It is fully updated with the latest software.

Aaah, I had the same problem. It's another example of the usability of this wonderful system. If you put a song into a numbered favourite and you select it afterwards, it is used as a 'seed' for a MOTS list. You can see this in the queue, you will have your song and the MOTS list behind it, but it will start playing the MOTS list immediately.
From the use manual:
Selecting a numbered favourite for N.MUSIC
(A.MEM or CD) means that the track is used for
MOTS seed, not that it is played immediately.
OK Jjamers,
So, what is the solution ?
Disable the MOTS function on the BeoSound ?
Or, is there a solution to play the entire favorite playlist without "activate" MOTS ?
And, of course, wake up with the desired song of the playlist and continue to play the other song...
OK, thanks for your answer.
I tried it on my system and I can confirm that what you wrote also applies for my system. The fact that it plays the next song but not the chosen one must be some sort of bug!?
I still wonder if there is a way to let BeoTime wake me up to a specific song of my choice ?
Not sure it's a bug or 'by design'. It seems they tend to want to do stuff their own special way. Even if it doesn't make sense most of the time.
I don't own a BeoTime so I can't help you with that.
