ive never owned a b&o tv before and im strugging for it to work. im wondering is it possible to buy a converter that actually works that will convert hdmi to scart ?...
my sky is hd and tv will only accept scart leads so im stuck, im struggling to understand how to set up tv aswel. litrally i have no idea....
im sheffield based and any help or info would be much appreciated.....
Question 1 : Does your Sky Box have a Scart Socket on the back?
Oh, and Welcome to BeoWorld!

If your Sky HD receiver is a few years old,it will have both Scart and HD connections. Some of the receivers even have composite (Yellow, red, green connectors)outputs. It seems to depend upon the particular model used.
If you do have a later model receiver, there are indeed HDMI to Scart converters available.I use one that I bought to allow connection of a video streamer to my ancient but still wonderful crt B&O tv.The combination works well.
I bought this particular device from Amazon, but be careful,if you do order,to make sure that you buy the HDMI to Scart version,as there is also a device that converts 'tother way.

Nick
I bought a small one from amazon for around £12 - works fine but on my 6-26 you have to remember to select Format 3 when you switch on - wish there was a way to change the default format to 3 instead of 1
