 Hi,

I would like to use my Beolab 18+19 speakers together with my Samsung TV. I tried to connect my Beolab essence to the TV as bluetooth speakers, but the delay is huge and the sound quality is not very good.

Can anyone recommend a solution that can provide:

Minimum amount of delay

Good quality

Possibilty to adjust the sound level with Samsung TV remote

TV triggers Beolab speakers so that they start up when TV is turned on.

It is a Samsung UE65MU8005 and Beolab 18+19 + Beolab Essence mk2

Hi Bob,

How is the Essence connected to the speakers? If this is via Transmitter 1 WiSA, I would recommend using the optical out of your TV and connecting it to the transmitter 1. You'll have to buy the IR receiver for transmitter 1 as well (forgot the exact name but I'm sure other forum members / your B&O dealer do) as the optical out of your samsung TV is probably not volume regulated. You can then adjust the volume with your Beo4 / Beo one remote control.

Best,

Hi and welcome to Beoworld,

did you check the Samsung WAM270 Linkmate ? It may be worth a look... with a Samsung TV!

NB : I don't know about the setting of the delay.

ok, since you have connected the speakers via Ethernet (Powerlink) cables, I think your best option is to use the optical out of your tv, buy a small DAC, which converts the optical signal to RCA. Then connect the RCA cables to your Essence. And buy a IR receiver for the Essence (if you not already have it). In this way, you will be able to control the volume with either the Beo4 or the Essence remote ("wheely"). The speakers will switch on automatically when the TV is switched on as the RCA connections on the essence have a line-sense function.
