Gents;
I have:
Is there a simple schematic to connect all together?

Which equipment is in what room(s) and what do you wish to achieve entertainment-wise?
Good Morning;
All in the living room.
Quiet a few permutations
1. Encore with Bl2 connected and BL1 daisy-chained through. Standalone system,
2. BS9000 with BL2 connected and BL1 daisy-chained through. Standalone system
3. BM5 as 2 above but you need to connect the BM5 to video to control
4. As 3 above but masterlink BM5 and BS9000 (as slave). BM5 configured as audio master, nmusic.
5. If you encore (standalone un-linkable product) is really a BeoSound 5, then use BM5 and BS5 as master, n.music (speakers connected in Daisy-chain), masterlink the BM5 to the BS9000 as slave.
I’m very rusty on the configurations nowadays so please forgive if I have this a little muddled. There is also a fair bit of configuration required with the Beo4 remote to get all this working in an inter grated fashion. Plenty on this forum who should be able to help.
Hi Flyboy0229 - and welcome to Beoworld.
As Mr 10Percent already wondered, so do I - is that BeoSound 5 Encore really an Encore?
Or is it the ‘normal’ BS5 version, that comes with the BM5?
It would be an odd combination of devices if it is the Encore.
And it makes a h*ll lot of difference for your options of setting these up.
Could you please describe it/the connections on it - or post a picture of these.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Sorry about the delay. The BeoSound 5 is in fact an Encore, but I have made an epic error in this purchase. It's 240vAc, not suitable for the States.
Any options out there?
IIRC, the Encore has a separate power cord/power transformer.
3 possible solutions:-
1. Used a standard toroidal transforemenr to lift 110v to 220v
2. See if B&O can sell you a 110v powercord for the Encore
3. See if the Powercord is switchable (doubt it)
Sir;
You are so correct about the separate power cord/power transformer. Just had to dig for it.
But the BeoMaster 5 is 120vAC, so when connecting with the 220vAC of the BeoSound 5, how does this square?
Post Scriptum: All you Veterans out there, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I owe you everything, you owe me nothing. Forty-one years of military service here, thirty-four as an Aviator, Instructor Pilot. Started in the Airborne Infantry in Vietnam, 1970-71, finished following a combat tour in Iraq, 2008-09 as a Dustoff Pilot in Command. What a ride!

Yes - get a real BS5 unit.
Then you have what you’ll need for a proper setup.
The “full fat” BeoSound 5 is powered from the Beomaster 5 and not a separate power module. At the rear of the BS5 are a number of sockets at the top of the socket panel. 1 USB, 1 Power socket and 1 DVI socket. These all connect to the BS5 to power the unit.
A lot of idiosyncrasies here as is the norm with B&O (cables all different lengths as supplied by B&O and all over 4m long!!)
The BS5/BM5 (and Encore) can be a PITA to setup but once done! I find gives really pleasing results and is maligned I think unfairly because the units are so often setup without detailed though on the best way. Written lots of threads here on that.

And don’t worry...about the BS Encore.
If you find the right power supply for that, you could even use that (with another set of BeoLabs) as a standalone system. A system that gives you netradio and that can draw on the music collection stored in the BeoMaster 5.
The good news is that the BeoSound 5 without the BeoMaster 5 can be readily found on eBay at reasonable prices. The reason for this being that the BeoMaster 5 is usually the part that eventually fails and has to be replaced -- repair costs being outrageous.
