Dear all

I was hoping to gauge your opinions on the use of 'stylus' cleaning fluid for MMC and SP cartridges.  Do you use something similar or should I stick to the brush provided in the box for the stylus?

I have a lot of Beograms around so it would be useful to know your thoughts on this. I have also just had a couple of my cartridges rebuilt by Axel's protege so I would like them to last if possible!

Thanks

Ben

The problem with stylus cleaner is if it gets up in the suspension, it can damage it. I used to use it but now use a Flash Magic Eraser as, looking at the diamond with a high powered binocular microscope, this seems to get the stylus the cleanest. One just dabs the diamond down and then up and the results are great. No solvents.

Remove the brush on the Beogram 8000 and burn it - it is work of the devil!

Or sell it on eBay for £10, like I've seen done! Huh?

I'll try the magic eraser - thanks for that tip Peter.

Peter, thank you.  I will try a magic eraser!

I have heard that stylus cleaner can damage the suspension so will stop that!

Thanks
