Hello,

I recently bought a Beocenter 7002 in a fair condition. Phono and Radio are just fine, the tapedeck doesn't work (probably the belts).

If I plug it into the power supply, the display shows 0001, as it is supposed to do, and it will count upwards, so the internal clock seems to be working.

The problem is:

If I try to set the time, e.g. I press SET, 1234 and OK, it will just switch between the stations / functions these buttons belong to.

Do you have any ideas how to fix it? Will I need a donor machine?

Thanks

Welcome to Beoworld !

Sounds like the SET button doesn't work correctly. My guess is that it hasn't been used a lot - and probably not much recently, so its
contacts will have oxidized a bit.
Try it again a couple of times.

Thanks for your advice.

I depressed the SET button some more times today, but sadly I wasn´t able to solve the problem.

Now I am planning to get some new belts for the tapedeck, so I can see if the buttons lower than the SET button have the same problem.

I just fixed the issue:

Inside the device, between all those circuit boards, one plug was not on it's socket. I put it back on and now it works as it is supposed to.
