When trying to replace the battery for my Beo5 the ribbon cable came loose from the display housing. Any tips on how to reattach the cable? It seems pretty hard to do without disassembling the display casing but I’m a bit worried that some if the clips that hold the case together might break off.

Thanks.

It is a pain, but it can be done with a very small screwdriver, the problem is that the locking piece of plastic is hinged on, it will not break off, but can come off. This takes a lot of tries to get on again, but it can be done.

Patience is what is needed here.

Early versions of the Beo5 did not even have a locking clamp, it just pushed in!!

Much easier :)

I used my Beo6 as reference, I had to remove the ribbon to exchange it :)
