BL3 Floorstands = Great Sound.... Wall Mounts = Horrible ...any more with same experience

Hi, today I put quite a lot of working hours into mounting my BL3 floor standing speakers onto the std Wall mounts. the reason for this was that I with some change in furniture placement I no loner could sit in equal distance from left and right speaker. However. the previous well sounding BL3 now sounds horrible the sound is now "Boomy" and lack a lot of Hi-Fi quality like "Airy" 3D sound even though I read the manual carefully and changed the switch on the speaker ( to corner) as they sit close to ceiling as well as wall. tried to lower the Bass ( I use a Sonos system) but still the sound quality did not get close to what I use to have. anybody else that have had these experiences ?
