In case Lee can't help you, i might..

Hi Paul, I seem unable to use my PM ( don't know why). Is it possible that you can PM me and then I can respond?
I am waiting for Lee to come back to me on this too.

Dont buy these Beolab 4, they sound very thin, disappointing for me. Only suitable in a surrond installation as satellites.
Look for beolab 4000, but not everyone like the 90ties design, I prefer a pair of BeoPlay S3 as PC speaker, they can connect wireless or with cable und they sound great. The underdog of PC speaker.

Sure, but don't buy BL4000's but 5000's or penta's instead and they also look nicer on your desk...:)
Sorry to be cinical but you're comparing a much bigger speaker, obviously these (4000, at 6 times the size) are better.
but for a 'desktop' speaker the 4's look fab and sound better than all the plastic you get for this use from other brands.

Bowers & Willkins MM-1's. I've got a pair and can't fault them. Attaches via USB cable. See reviews on link page.
