Beovision 11 radio and deezer

Hello,

I am comsiderimg buying a Beovision 11-46 to match 2 beolab 18. At this moment I have a Beosound moment and a loewe individual. Loewe audio out to line in of the moment.

The goal is to get rid of the moment and oney have the Beovision 11 with the beolab.

i listen 90% of the time radio and 10% deezer.

radio is available from my dvb-c probider. I assume I can select this as a source with the remote?

my question is how can I start my deezer content. At this moment I use 90% of the time the bang & olufsen app for deezer and radio (tunein). Is that app also available for the bv11? If that is the case then my solution is simple. I use to stream from my nas with twonky but deezer replaced that all so no need on that part.

 

hopefully someone knows If radio and deezer is easy integrated in the Beovision 11 so I can sell the moment and have a cleaner cabinet in my living room.

I know that the horizon had maybe more integrated feutures (tunein) but I do not like the Android os.

Hi, with the app you can control the basic functions of the BV11 and start a TuneIn session but the Deezer app within the BV11 is so poor that you need to start a session on your tv first. The Moment is important as your music source, which has full integration with the app and your future BV11.

I have the Moment and V1 (same software as BV11) and they work very well together. My advise would be to keep the Moment and connect your speakers to the BV11 and let the Moment use your BL18’s connected to the tv. This works great. You can put the Moment at another place, only needs to be connected through LAN or WiFi in your network.

With this setup you can start radio, Deezer or your private NAS through the Moment or the app. Also you are ready to extent your music throughout your home with Multiroom.

I really enjoy the Moment and use it every day. With the NL products (BV11 and others) you will enjoy it even more.

Of topic, I also enjoy my Horizon, the android platform gets a lot of negative feedback, but is almost there. Most needed for my personally is the integration in the app, should be released soon.

Thank you for the entend reply. I was hoping to sell the moment and use the cash for the Beovision. Sorry to hear that deezer is not fully integrated in the bv11.

 

my current setup is working fine but I fancy a Beovision. Great to have some real insight in the horizon. Is it for the horizon the same or is deezer better integrated there?

I really don’t know because the Horizon is not useable through the app yet. Cash wise I can imagine but trust me, once you also own a BV you want to extent to Multiroom and then you are sorry you sold the Moment.

i am going to look for a horizon. Maybe I can place the moment in my study and connect my vinyl player and listen to it on the beolab connected with the horizon, that would be great. 

That should work just perfect. If you connect the Moment to the BL18’s connected to the Horizon, you can use the app because you are using the Moment. The LP player should be connected to the line in of the Moment, you will only need a pre amp of some sort. Many others on the forum here can guide you on that

I will try that. My vinyl player is already connected to a pre- amp. As soon as I have the horizon I will try.

Sorry for all the guestions. I was thinking last night. If i choose the horizon and not the bv11 i get built in chrome cast if I am not mistaken. Is this working fine? If so I should be able to cast Deezer with my iPhone/iPad, or am I wrong here.

my question is feed by the fact that transferring the moment to my study will leave me with no sound there so I need extra speakers. If I ad for example a beoplay a6 there is no need for the moment because it has a line in for my vinyl player and radio/deezer etc built in. If the a6 or another speaker also has multi room capabilities I can transfer my vinyl to the horizon?

i will visit a b&o shop this week to see what is possible but I want to come prepared.

I could sell the moment then because keeping a moment just as a Deezer client seems a lit silly for me.

Chrome cast is there and you can stream music or movie to the Horizon. Adding a M5/A6 for the vinyl player also makes sense, it is up to you. Personally I would stick to the Moment, for me it is more than just a Deezer hub! It is my central music hub with its own unique B&O look and feel. I really like the pattern play and the mood wheel, both will not work with my iPad. Also just tapping one button on the Moment instead of first put tv on, select iPad app and select music. The logarithm for random music play in the Moment is superior to the Deezer app (to my limited experience). But it is also a matter of budget and personal taste off course. Good luck choosing!

i went to the shop today and I think it will be the following:

beovision 11-46(55) on motorstand with beolab 18

tv and radio by DVD-c / direct source beoremote

m5 in the study with line in vinyl

this one can be a multi room source in the Beovision . Deezer is therefore as I have been told one button away on the remote (link music). My que list etc can be build on the iPad. If you choose radio or link music the screen is showing a short message and then turn black.

 

 

Now I will try to find a nice second life bv11 because here in NL not available anymore.

Sound great and will work just as you’ve been told. I live in NL too, on marktplaats you will find second life seller Summa445, who has BV11’s on stock quite often. On 2ehands.be I think you can find a new BV11-46.

The description of your setup can also be achieved with a Horizon, only the app is not there yet but with join function on remote you can select the deezer play from the M5.

I visited b&o ehv today and I like the design of the bv11/bv14 better then the horizon. Only downfall is I like it on a floor stand so we need to make some changes with furniture!
