Hello Beoteam

I have today bought off eBay a Beolab Receiver 1 to connect to my Beolab 6000 in the corner rather than running a cable

I have an old PL cable 5 meter which is not in the best shape and want to shorten this to about 0.2 - 0.3 meters to plug into the RJ45 to 8 Pin din cable so the R1 sits next to the speaker.

Any thoughts on shortening a PL cable?

Just solder cut and solder wrapping the shield around and solder this also?

Dont want to order one when I can make one out of an old PL cable.

If you have a soldering iron & solder i would cut the cables and join them up.  Plus you can get small heat shrink sleeving for the cores, and a larger one for the outer shealth. Use a decorators paint removing hot air gun to shrink it in place.

Hope this helps.
