For those of the Beoworld readers/writers still interested in the multiroom capacity of B&O devices:

Thanks.

Too bad Moment cannot be integrated and share speakers with Eclipse.

That’s a showstopper for me.

Of course you can not ‘share speakers’ with another Sound System’.

I mean that I would like to use an Eclipse the same way as I use my BV11, and let Moment play over the TV speakers and other speakers attached to Eclipse.

My understanding is that this is not possible.

Not really an “of course not” ... in a streaming world it makes less sense, however I always thought there was a place for multi-room systems ... and electronically I would have thought readily achievable to have routing an incoming ML L+R to the line-in processing.

This is a great document, but I don't understand all of the terminology.

Just to be clear, when it says that "Speaker sharing or borrowing sources" is not supported for the Eclipse, does it means that the Eclipse can't play from any other source.  For example, if I have the AUX input on my Essence connected to something and setup for distribution, I can't play this source on my Eclipse?

Speaker sharing means using the speakers of another device - means the device itself has no speakers attached.

This makes only sense with a B&O-tv ——- excluding the Eclipse.

The Sound Center of the Eclipse is a sound system - it makes no sense to share something with something, that already has what you want to share there.

Of course you can access the sources of one sound system on another (if set up correctly)....

....but that is not ‘sharing speakers’.

I suppose that this works with the Eclipse as well - if not, I am sure that it will come with an update.

Mostly you control this with the Bang & Olufsen app or by joining in oto something that is already playing.

With the NL devices, that have support for physical remote controlling - e.g. the BS35 - you can access these sources from another sound system with the BeoRemote (they are marked as link sources - with the little double rectangle in front of the source name).

It may seem complicated with the NL (compared to ML), but you have way more possibilities.

And not everyone need all these possibilities - in time you can set up a system, that suits your needs well.
