Yep. I've got a Late-2012 Mac Mini (the last of the ones where the user can upgrade RAM / HDD easily) going strong.

Let's hope that Apple update the Mac Mini with something else soon. It's the "cheapest" Apple Computer available for folks, and makes no sense to remove it. Cook has said as much (as repeated in the article).

The article says the Mac mini of one generation back will not be serviced or repaired anymore because it was produced until 2011 which is more than 5 years ago.

It does not say the Mac mini is end of life.

On the contrary I would say.

I may be projecting but I don't think elephant implied that the Mac Mini is EOL wholesale -- at least I didn't think so -- clearly the article stated that the 2011 one is EOL.

Regardless, I do hope Apple come up with a revise Mac Mini which is user upgradeable, perhaps their "modular Mac Pro" concept can be put to good use with a new Mini. But that might be a long time coming.
