Hello everybody,

I've just received my Beovox M75 beack from refoaming. I still have new stands with mounting material but am a little unsure how to mount speakers correctly on the stands. The distance screw is obvious. The mounting screws less so. From what I understand you screw the screws directly into the back of the speaker with the bushing going into the hole of the stand. But where does the washer go? Between speaker and bushing or bushing and head of the screw?

Thanks!

Kai

There should be a washer both under the head of the screw and up against the back of the speaker.
That's four black washers per speaker (B&O part# 2622267).

Dear Martin.

Thanks very much. Figured it out myself meanwhile. Can it be that originally there was just one washer that goes right next to the speaker on the M75s? I had a new pair of stands and only one washer was included. A second one is also not needed as far as I can tell.

Which material would you recommend for refoaming? Rubber or foam? Most say use original foam, but does it really make such a difference?

Greetings,

Kai

It's more likely that there originally were four washers, and two (or three) of them were lost.
They tend to bind to the back of the speakers so may not have been apparent to the person dismounting the stands.
That could account for two of the missing washers.

Replace foam with foam and rubber with rubber.
Compare the T/S parameters and you will see why.

Thanks again, Martin,

problem is where to get similarly specified foam surrounds of good enough quality that match drivers...

Greetings,

Kai
