I tried to set up E8 with my Note8 today and still not able to use it. after i followed the manual, called tech support. Two different tech people tried everything and i was told that E8 is not compatible with Note8.

phone was paired with E8 but not communicating or connected. They said I have to wait for software updates which might happen next week or so. Is there other people having same issue or anybody knows how to figure this out.

I got the same issue when i first paired it with my S8. the e8 was paired but not "connected" so couldn't play music/receive calls.

You will need to pair it with the beoplay app, follow the instructions. To be honest i got lucky, not sure what i did. After pairing the e8 using the app, i went to the phone's bluetooth setting, chose the cog next to the paired e8, which took me to a different setting page for the paired e8. there were 2 options: "used for call" and "used for media". I turned both options on and it started working wonderfully.

You may try:

Uninstall the Beoplay app from your phone.

Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and try pairing the E8 just via Bluetooth. Try several times and if it works:

Go to your Note 8 sound settings and modify the sound there.

Hope this helps, good luck!
