My beosound 9000 get the error message cleaning required. Any tips how to clean it? is that why the system is general slow?

Usually, just wiping off the prism (two of them, on at the top and one at the bottom that provide the barrier for hands etc when the cd mech is moving) will do the trick.

And dusting the glass cover on both sides and the aluminium plate between the two sensors will do the job...
