Hi there.

My Beocord 4500 is mechanically working fine, but it doesn´t deliver any sound. The VU-meter though lights up all the way, when pressing play, and keeps on shining steady, even without any tape loaded.

Anyone with an idea of what is wrong?

Regards

Missing 8Vref voltage.
Usually one or both of the 470uF/10V caps C217 / C417 has shorted.

Hi again.

How come the two aren´t the same on the PCB as they seem to be in the service manual? I don´t have the component list, only the scheme.

Probably a typo on the board.
C417 is the correct one.

That did the trick. C417 was shorted. Now it´s working fine.

Great thanks Martin. You´re the best!
