Good Evening to you alls,

I'm very close to buy a pair of Beolab 4000 to sit next to my Ouverture. Hope they will bring some B&O Magic into that house !. I've carefully read the foam rot thread and as they have a serial number starting by 17XXX, I believe they'll have white foam and will perform well for a long time still.

Anyway…

I'de like to have them vertically on table stands but those are hard to find and expensive when you find them.

So i would like to know if anyone did know about any alternative to them ?

Or can I have a wooden bloc cut down to make one by myself or have those things, which look like plastic boxes, something special ?

Thank you.

I like this idea.  I also have a pair of BL4000 that I would like to have stands for.  Maybe some one here who has some would be willing post some pictures so we could attempt to fabricate our own?

Beosound 9000 MK III, Beosound Century, Beogram 5005, Beolab 8000, Beolab 5000,  Beolab 4000, Beolab 5, Beovision 8, Beovision 10, Beovision 5, Beoplay A2, Beoplay E8, Beoplay H6.

Seems like it would be fairly easy to 3D print them....

Audioengine sells a pair of desktop speaker stands, designed to isolate and tilt speakers up a bit, for $30 US.  As I look at the pictures, they seem a bit narrow for the width of a BL4000.  Possibly having two stands per speaker might be more stable.  FWIW.

The audioengine ones would not be a good fit at all. They are very much designed only for a lighter square speaker.

Although, the rubberized stands for audioengine a2 and a5 and the similar Peachtree audio m24 wedges add a nice auditory improvement just by helping with bass reflection into rubber. The stand choice itself will affect sound reproduction in more ways than direction aim. I’ve wondered if a 15 pound block of blu-tak would make the best stand...

Thank you BeoFrederic for bringing this idea to me.

Saint Beogrowler, may be this model wouldnt fit but what about this one:

https://www.thomann.de/fr/the_takustik_isopad_8.htm

They're 26 cm wide and the guy in the comment says they can stand his 12kg enclosures.

If anyone own the original B&O stands, would he be kind enough to post some measurements?

Thank you.

Side Note:

I collecte them today, 3 hours drive go & return. Not the cheapest one but the price seems fair to me.

2 silver BL4000, 2x mains and 2x 5m powerlink cables, very minor scratches on top, white foam.

Sound is like i dreamed of it, at least with my test track (Anisina).

Now if i manage to find those table stand, I will be a fulfilled man !

As in Pink Floyd ?

What makes it a good test track for you ?

(I am listening to it right now...)

Congratulations on the 4000.

Enjoy !!!

Thank you, I will!

Yes as in Pink Floyd. Maybe not a technically good test track but to me it's the benchmark: deep bass, bright trebles, and warm middles. Enough stereo image. I play it on every installation i use to check and if anything is wrong it's as if you could instantly feel it.

Of course maybe I like it because it can make shine any average installation!!!
