My CX 100 drivers will need a refoaming soon. Is it a good idea to re-cap the crossovers at the same time? If so, do you have a list or picture of the spare components needed? The speakers are from 1990.
You could replace the capacitor. It's a 6,8uF 63V Axial bipolar electrolytic. One in each speaker.

Happy Christmas Martin!

Thank you Dillen for pointing out the capacitor to replace and its specs. Is it important to use one with exactly the same voltage? By web search I found for instance one that is specified 6,8uF 100V DC or an audiophile-looking polypropylene type that is 6,8uF 400V DC.
I wouldn't go higher than 63V. Electrolytics won't be excited and will die quite fast if not used up close to their rating, even if only occasionally, and Beovox CX100 would go up in smoke if shown more than that. And speaker signals are AC. Make sure you are looking at bipolars!Polypropylene - that should only be if it makes YOU feel better...
Thanks Peter - and you too!
