Hello. Sometime ago, I posted about an issue using the A1 with Alexa. The problem was the A1 switching off when not in use for 15 mins or so. When calling Alexa, the A1 had to be manually switched on again to be able to have the benefit of the better sound. I contacted Amazon and B&O about this situation. Since the latest firmware upgrade ( 5.30 ), this problem has been solved. When plugging the A1 into a charger, it automatically powers up and connects to Alexa, it stays on all the time the charger is on, unless switched of manually.
Thanks for that info!
But it would also mean that it would stay on (when constantly charged) with other products connected, I suppose.
Just in case someone would like to connect a ChromecastAudio dongle or alike to it.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Hi, yes, as long as the power supply to it, is on, then the unit is available to whatever is connected to it. When the power supply is turned off or removed, the A1 reverts back to normal and switches itself off again after 15 mins or so. Hope that helps.
Wow thanks! This is really good to know, guess many people here have the A1.
Also true for what you wrote MM, actually very useful (I wouldn't come to the idea of Chromecast plugged into the A1 in the first place).
