Hello
i have a BeoCenter 2300, a pair of Beolab 6000 and a Beolab 3500
i would like to install in the master room the Beocenter with the pair of Beolab 6000 and have a linked room with the Beolab 3500
i also have 2 masterlink wireless 1 that I would like to use (if possible) to connect the master room with the linked one in a wireless mode
is it possible.? I read somewhere that BeoCenter 2300 iis not supporting the beolink wireless 1 ...
can anyone help me ?
thanks
Hi,
the Beosound 2300 doesn't have a masterlink connector!
You need a Beolink Converter Type 1611. This converter is connected to the AUX connecor of the BS 2300 via a 7pin DIN cable to the Beolink converter. Then from the Beolink converter with a masterlink cable to the Beolink Wireless.
I once used this setup with a BS 2500 and a BeoLab 2000 with success.

I do have the Beolink converter and I tried exactly as you explained.
Using the Aux exit of the BS2300 I connected the cable to the ceo converter and the masterlink from the converter to the beolink wireless 1 set as transmitter
i used the second beolink wireless 1 set as receiver and linked using masterlink cable to the Beosound 3500 bar
I set the Beosound 3500 as option 6 (linked to master room) ... but I could not get any sound out of the linked bar....
what have done wrong? also I do not understand how the cd audio output could/should reached the converter ihence go through the wireless if it is connected to the aux exit of the BeoCenter 2300!,,
am I missing somethings?
I think you need a Mk2 Beolab 3500. The speaker needs to be connected via Powerlink if using Wireless 1s and only the Mk2 has a Powerlink socket. (the socket on the Mk1 is a MCL socket)

It is important tp power everything off when connecting all cables. Then power up the BeoLink convertor first so that it detects the products it is joining.

First of all I would like really to thank all of you for helping me in this matter
I will try to link everything with power off
Just to recap
1) connect Beocenter 2300 using Powerlink port tot the converter
2) converter is connected to wireless 1 (set as transmitter) using masterlink
3) second wireless 1 (set as receiver) is connected to bs3500 using masterlink
I do not get any sound out of the bs3500
Should I give up?
Actually I believe that it worked BUT I guess there is a final set up to add
according to the manual I should “link” the BS3500 using the BeO4 by pressing the button LIST until it appears the option LINK and then by pressing CD Radio or what ever the BSlink to this source
however thr function LINK needs to be added to the BEO4 ?
Does anyone can tell me how to do this step on the Beo4?
Many thanks for any help
FabioM63: 3) second wireless 1 (set as receiver) is connected to bs3500 using masterlink I do not get any sound out of the bs3500 Should I give up?
All searches show you need a Mk2 Beolab 3500 and I'm almost positive that the Beolab has to be connected to the wireless 1 with the Powerlink connection.
From a previous posting I found this from Keith Sanders who's the tech advisor for this site.
Let me give you an overview of Beolab 3500 and Beolink Wireless.
First the Beolab 3500 has two variations:-
The Beolink Wireless requires version 2.0 or above for full Masterlink capability and the latest version is version 2.1
Which means if it is a Beolab 3500 Mark2 it will not work via Masterlink unless you update the software in both.
I managed to configure bc2300 and bs3500 correctly and now the link room in wireless is receiving and playing correctly
that’s great
thanks to all for the help
