Hi guys,
I decided to take Deezer up on their HiFi offer, however, I can’t seem to hear any difference in the music quality. I’ve been using Apple Music up until now, and it sounds just the same.I’ve got the Deezer beta version installed on my MacBook Pro, as well as on my iPhone. I use those as the source to stream on my Beoplay A6. How do you tell if the music streamed is in FLAC format? Is there any indication for that? Although whilst using the desktop app , you can choose between the various sound quality presets, I still can’t hear any different. Is it just me?
I had the same problem. I even changed from Bluetooth or Chromecast connection with my MacBook to the BeoSound Essence Mk2 and then on to the speakers to direct optical connection with my BeoLab 5's. In my opinion the sound quality went down. The Lab 5's are great at giving stereo sounds from wherever you are in the room. When I changed to optical connection the speakers sounded much more like non B&O speakers in that the room only had one sweet spot to get the full effect of stereo sound. I toggled between all of the setting in Deezer and count make out any discernible difference in sound quality.
Hi Nikolay,
I'm in the same boat. having switched (or in the process of) from Apple Music to Deezer.
While i cannot tell the difference in audio, from what I've seen in the Deezer App is that for uncompressed music, they display a small HQ-logo in the lower left hand corner to indicate it's lossless (or close to). Not sure however how they fare on the desktop or in other platforms.
Thanks,
Carl-Henrik
