WiSa for LG OLED
Very interesting for a seamless integration with B&O speaker.
Could become very relevant for those who don't need the ekstra features from a Beovision
Beovision Harmony 77" 2nd Gen, Beolab 5, Beolab 17, Beosound 1, Beoplay M3, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay Earset, Beoliving Intelligence
Interesting, thanks for posting it. Perfect for your LG eh? It will be interesting to see if WISA survives as a tech or not.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
Yea could be, it would be much smarter then a av receiver as I have now. Though missing easy radio/spotify play.
I must say that I had big hopes for WiSa when they launch, but only B&O seemed to use it. So it is very nice to see that there are more and more using this.
Honest I thought it was dead in the middle of 2017 but now it seems not to be the case.
I agree, I was kind of surprised that it didn't catch on more when it was released. B&O was a natural for it though, with amplified speakers and a clientele who generally are design conscious and don't like to see wires. But there are other companies with powered speakers and especially powered subwoofers.

Don’t forget that this stick only provides a 2./2.1 setup.
For more than that (i.e. what your A/V receiver soes), some kind of multichannel processor would have to be involved.
Such sticks were used a year ago in Struer with some LG (version 6) tv’s and even sold to employers there along with an LG tv.
That was in the time, when they were preparing for the Eclipse.
Not officially announced then, but since they now were presented at rhe CES, there is no need for not telling.
However, it is a question, whether these sticks are meant for public sale - or if they are just a demonstration of what WiSA can/can offer.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

In the list of devices on the new WiSA website I noticed a speaker from a (danish) company called Platin.
(Henestly, I have never heard of that company!)
http://www.wisaassociation.org/certified-devices.html
The speaker is called WS30.
Seems that they have a Pro section called Platinpro

On the main Platin site you can find this:

And it seems that LG/WiSA did not just used the BeoLabs, when they presented ‘the stick’.
The norwegian higher end company Electrocompaniet.no is mentioned on the WiSA site as a member.

The only thing, that I could find on Electrocompaniet and WiSA was this - from their Facebook site.

No mentioning on the website or in reviews from CES2018
(By the way, imo this speaker fits well with the LG tv shown designwise).
