This weekend we released a new beta version of the app with native support for sound settings and alarms. Additionally the support part of the app has been revamped to provide more in context help.

Thomas, could you please also implement a vacation mode, I believe it is more down to the firmware. All alarms suspended, but not deleted until the end of the holidays.

I know…B&O virus has grown on me !
Could you provide a setting to compensate for the volume of TuneIn? TuneIn is horribly loud compared to other sources. I'm constantly needing to grab for my remote to reduce the volume.

Please clarify - I thought that these settings all were part of the firm-/software of each device.
E.g. I see no problem in creating timers on my Essence or make sound settings.
This has been possible for a while now.
Am I missing something???

Please. Can you confirm that 'real' bass and treble settings will be available on M5? "Bass/Treble will be hidden for these". What does that mean? That you can toggle the settings on/off, or?

The timer function works really well, but it would be nice if you could add a “once only timer” Otherwise you have to delete the timer if you don’t want it to start same time next week.
I can see that you removed the “configuration” function for NL/ML converter!!! Is that gone for good?

@Millimissen: This is currently only on testflight. Yes this has been possible from the web settings but now it is available natively in the app.

I know you can do the configuration on the webpage, but I think the mobile version worked quite well on an iPad with the old BeoSetup app, it makes me a little worried about the future When development is going quite slow and funkktions is remove within the same month a product is discontinued.
when operating my Beovision 11 I still use the BeoRemote app more often than the Bang & Olufsen app, so i still have to use multiple apps to control my system😔
I tried to use the alarm function but the “alarm type” cannot be modified (standby by default) on my app, for all products (A9 and Essence). I reported this bug via the app.
the NL/ml configuration link is gone.
and I suggest an ergonomic improvement : I think the app would be considerably easier to use in multi room if we could directly switch from one product to the other just by swiping left or right on the product “now playing” screen (the screen with the volume wheel) instead of having to go back to home and change product every time.

@mbee, If i use my iPhone the alarm works great, I can choose between Standby, Standby all, alarm tone and Tunein... on my iPad I only have standby like you.

@Soren : thanks, I did not see that. So my bug is only iPad related and not "universal"! Nice to see that I can setup an alarm ;-)
@Henrik : it seems that for now, switching wife seems easier than switching products in the B&O app... I hope they'll release a solution soon. Does the Deezer Family account solve anything (I've never tried that, but it seems to be one account for many people, or it's one subscription for multiple accounts which doesn't solve anything...)

Great to hear you plan further improvements for the B&O app in the sense of native capabilities (especially alarms and timers - I sense many people would prioritize them).
Still, please try to see if the new app version can accomodate basic functionalities bug fixes... ...new capabilities are great but... With the actual fw version for A9 I lost bluetooth connection with Essence remote and was (barely, after nondescriptive error messages) able to re-pair it but I had to plug it out the wall first, then as from recently Deezer playback just hangs with app becoming unresponsive and the device remains silent until you close the app and reopen it...
Hope you and your team will be able to address as much as possible of those bugs - they simply make it difficult to enjoy your visually stunning products. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Would love to see some basic operation of the bSys4 platform (V1, BV11) like: Speaker Selection and Radio Favorites (1to9).

A way to manually change the order of the devices in the home screen would be very appreciated.
As of now the just appear in alphabetic order.
(And maybe the size of the tiles, too).
Hiort:Not sure I understand MrAndersen. In the app I see tone controls for my M5. Do you mean they do not control M5 yet? Controls are not hidden.

@Henrik: Yes this scenario currently is pretty poorly supported. We're looking at Deezer Family as the solution to this, but no timeline yet sorry. Using full width album art is very hard across so many screen sizes, we used to have it but it was overlayed in the bottom and top to make it work. We're not allowed to do that anymore, "changing" album art is copyright infringement. Good to hear you like it!
@AnalogPlanet: I follow you and see your point, why release features when there are unresolved issues. Most of the issues you are referring to are product related and we can't do anything app side. The one about Deezer I would like to investigate. Could you please send a feedback in the app with the message "ths : Deezer hangs"?
@L1no: Speaker selection is coming when we implement the remote features due later this year
@dueon: No matter what order we choose someone thinks it is crazy, no one size fits all. We are adding a selection of sort order in the Deezer music lists
@elephant: Nothing for the Moment, sorry. Sounds like your BeoSound Core chooked on the DLNA music you tried to play and our app didn't handle it well. Could your please send a feedback "ths: dlna hangs"

Hi, and thanks for the answer! But if I understand correctly, you can't have both Deezer Hifi and Deezer Family? That would take away some fun.
Would it be a solution to make it possible to associate several (at least two) Deezer accounts with a single B&O account, but then you would have to choose which one was active at any one time? Then maybe the choice of which one Deezer account was active could be a local setting and stay on the device, not be synced across the B&O account.
Sorry, I know. People not working in your field, with no expertise, that walks in and suggests stuff beginning sentences with "Why don't you just...".
Anyway, this can't be a very rare user case. A lot of people on this forum have partners, don't you? And you probably don't have a Beosound Moment each in the living room. I would really like to hear how other people organize themselves around this limitation, other than waiting for MrAndersen to figure out the best way to implement this. Shared Deezer account? DLNA exclusively?

@MrAndersen: feedback sent via the app, let me know please if you’d need me to do/test something to help figuring out why A9 started to act like that... Not exactly sure what you meant by “product related issues”, my A9 never had such behaviour until the last fw update so I sense it could be connected...
@AnalogPlanet : when MrAndersen says product related issue, he means a problem with the latest product firmware. This is something that he’s not working on, as he’s developing the software on iOS and Android. Not the same programmin langage, so not the same skills, so not the same people developing both product fw and controlling apps!
Yes, you are right, silly me.
The app, at least from my POV, is progressing very nicely with cool add-ons coming frequently. And it looks great. Thumbs up for the team in charge of if.
