MrAndersen:

Hi CB

Those events are from the product.

I think CB astonishment comes from the log events dated prior his product acquisition .... much before!

BS Moment, BS Core, BG 4002, BC 4500, BS1, BL18, BL19, BL8000 + RCV1, A6, M5, M3, A1, P6 (tks Botty), H5, TR1

Thanks Jérôme Smile

It’s actually what I meant.

I can understand tests have been conducted in the plant, it’s just strange the result hasn’t been cleared...

My previous message suggesting an additional option for the alarm is more important to my eyes Hmm

oh I see. Well I have no explanation for that, I agree they should be cleared. Not sure if they are actually cleared by a factory reset

I've made the suggestion a few times that it would be useful to have a "restart" function in the configuration screen for products to do a power cycle. The essence remote pairing is still unstable and often requires a power cycle. This is sometimes inconvenient to manually do this. The BeoSound 1 poses the additional issue that since it has a battery that just unplugging the cord does not provide a power cycle. it is difficult to see which button on the bottom of the BeoSound 1 is the "restart" button. It would be nice to be able to do this from the app.

Just a heads up to everyone participating on the beta program.

A new App version (1.7.2.12783) has been released that seems to have solved the “ no products” issue.

I have only been testing for half an hour, but all seems good up until now.

@beojeff

I think that's a great idea and would be helpful for various issues.

According to mine with the BS2 I gave some additional informations to Beocare today:

Here some news, relating to the Chromecast issue, that might be helpful:

My router had an update tonight, interrupting internet connection for a short time and reconnecting (I got a push mail from the log files)
The evening before I have been playing music via Chromecast, no line-in used, and for that I didn't power off the BS2.
But this morning the BS2 also was not able to connect with Chromecast!
Chromecast didn't show in the app and connecting via Google Home didn't help: no sound played from BS2. Just the same issue like having used line-in before, though it was not activated.
Power off and reconnecting - Chromecast works.
I was able to reproduce this issue by powering off and reconnecting my router: Chromecast doesn't work for the BS2.
This doesn't affect my Beoplay A6!
Chromecast always works flawlessly with the A6.
So I can only assume this issue being a firmware bug of the BS2 software.
And no way for me to solve it without a firmware update coming from B&O.

Please note:
Because it is so uncomfortable for me powering off and reconnecting my BS2 regularly, the socket is under a bookshelf, I tried to use a Smart Home socket.
But I gave it up because the sound of the BS2 got really worse, muddy and terrible.
So sadly that's no solution.

Regards,

Ulrike

Oh boy, I thought they’d solved the remote problems. I just today thought about trying one.

I still find the connection is sometimes lost with both my BeoSound 1 and my A6 until I do a restart.

I´m on 1.7.3.12935

It fulfill my needs very well.

You seem to be on a newer Beta. Any major difference?

I am on 1.7.3.12935.

Overall, I am quite happy with the app. It has made a tremendous evolution over time, thanks to the B&O team, and a lot of input of the Beta testers!

At present, I don't experience major issues with the app, but I would love to see some functional enhancements. My top 3 are:

  • Support for Deezer Flow functionality (there is another thread on that already)
  • A more refined and user friendly handling of alarms. It is totally illogical that you can define an alarm in the B&O app, but activating/deactivating the alarms cannot be done in the same screen, but has to be done via navigating to the underlying "set-up" app, where you switch alarms on and off.
  • I would also love to see that you can activate alarms individually instead of per device level. The current set-up is probably easier from a development point of view, but is not at par compared to alarms on your iphone or on Sonos.

No, not that I know of - just got the regular updates (unless they pushed something....to me unknown).

@jans

As for Alarms - I just push/press the (picture of) the active product and get this, from where I can define the alarm/alarms for the device.

MrAndersen:
As for the NL/ML converter, it is such a complicated product and we vastly underestimated the development of this feature. We have 3-4 enhancements on our backlog for it.

Has there been any update? Would love to be able to "join" my BV7 (via ML/NL) with music from NL devices.
