Beosound 35 and Google Chromecast

Hello, 

I am just trying to get my Beosound 35 speakers working with my Google Home mini. The connection between the both devices was easy, but the chromecast streaming is very faulty. It is very slow: When I ask google to play Music, the songs starts playing after more than 15 seconds. The display of the BS 35 show Chromocast Streaming and nothing happens. When the stream starts, there are often Sound Drop-Outs. 

Does anybody have the same problems?

might be a router issue with Google Chromecast:

I don't have any problems here with Asus router RT AC-88U, everything working fine.

when you send a Stream via Chromecast to the BS35, how long does it need to start playing?

Starts immediately.

My Chromecast  version is:

Cast-Firmwareversion: 1.29.106147

It's the preview  version.

OK, that is the difference. My BS 35 has the Cast Firmware 1.26. 

 

Where do you get the new firmware?

But keep in mind, how fast Chromecast starts depends much more on better or worse Chromecast implementation and programming of an application - might be your app.
