Beovox S80 crossover cap specs

I’m restoring some S80s but the values on the original crossover caps differ slightly from the service manual.

The manual lists one of the three kinds as 15uF but it’s 22uF currently - should I keep it at 22 or replace with 15?

Also does anyone know how I can get the plastic woofer surrounds off?

I don’t want to put too much force into it in case I damage anything - didn’t know if there was a trick to it?

Could it be you are looking in a Beovox S80.2 manual?
Beovox S80 and S80.2 are actually quite different. 
Capacitor kits are readily available (for both types).

Grab the metal basket and press with both thumbs on the plastic ring.
It binds immensely but will come off if you just keep pressing.
It doesn't break that easily.

Thanks for the tip about the ring - I’ll give it a bit more elbow!

The manual is definitely type 6414 - all the other cap values are identical apart from that one. Probably makes sense to replace with the same value that’s in there I’d imagine.

All done - they sound really good, different from the 5702s but good different!

Just a caution when using the Mundorf caps, they always measure higher than their specified values.  Say you have an original 25uF then the Mundorf 22uf will be just fine.  However when you go up to 50uf, you need a Mundorf that will measure about 8uf lower.  They certainly not within the 20% spec!
