I have a few questions about the MX 7000

Hello !

I'm going to get a white Beovision MX 7000 (Type 8701 from 2000, SW 4.5) for retrogaming. I've recently discovered this TV and the B&O brand when i searched for the perfect one ; i just love the design of it, it's still soo good looking after all these years thanks to David Lewis. However I have a few questions :

• Does this TV have a security when it receive signals higher than 15khz ? Some Sony TV's have a security like splitting the picture in half to prevent any damages.

• Any advices for a newcomer on how to preserve this model ? I guess a cleaning of the inside would be a good start after all these years.

• And last but not least, and advices on how to transport a crt ?

It will fit in the passenger seat of a BMW 8-series (:-). Actually, any moderate-sized sedan will do: The tube has a plastic cover well-attached to the side casing, so you can just toss a towel over it and haul it into the passenger seat, screen facing back into the cushions, and seat-belt it in for the drive home. I also used a commercial mover and their heavy-duty moving blankets and some rope worked fine -- the jostling of the truck didn't shake anything loose, at least in my case some 15 years ago...

(P.S. Oversize bath sheet towel, that is. And a second one folded up underneath, so the plastic ribs don't tear the auto upholstery. Now that I remember, the speaker fret looked the most fragile and I didn't want to take it off, so I actually pulled the base out an inch and put another towel at the top so it was braced on the plastic screen cover and not the speaker fret. Then used the baby-seat feature of the upper seat belt (pull 100% out and it ratchets going back in) to lock it down. Sorry if this is obvious and you don't need all the detail, but really, how many of us have hauled this sucker around solo?)
