Hello everyone and thank you for welcoming me, I have been the beolit 17for twenty days, I have a problem with the alarm, insert the alarm clock with my iphone x via beoplay application in the evening and in the morning it does not sound, I sent a multitude of emails to support b & o but they do not solve the problem, I am very disappointed by the B & O service, I do not accept that such an expensive product does not have assistance, I would be grateful if any of you had the same problem and solved. Thank you

Some pointers I found for you that may be of assistance.

Are you connecting the iPhone via Bluetooth or with cable? Try both scenarios and see what happens

Are you using the BeoApp Alarm feature , or are you using the iPhone alarm feature on the phone (not the BeoApp one)?

Also test, is your phone on mute? Try both scenarios with on and off and see how you go.

If you watch the following , just check if you have followed the instructions

hello thank you for the answer, I do not understand what you mean when you say to connect my iPhone to Beolit, what do you mean to on and off the instructions on you tube I followed them carefully if I'm not mistaken I can set the alarm only via Bluetooth and the Beoplay application

I wasn’t sure if you connected your iPhone to the BL17 with an audio cable or with Bluetooth? I now understand that you use Bluetooth

The other thing i wrote was about whether your phone is on / off mute. On the left hand side of your phone and I’m not sure if it makes a difference if the mute is on or off? D

I just ask you to try different things to play around with it

Why not do a few simple tests:

If the time is now say 11 am, set an alarm for 11:05 and try:

> with 3.5 cable plugged in

> with 3.5 cable plugged out (remember to make sure you are connected to it)

> with 3.5 cable plugged in and mute on

> with 3.5 cable plugged in and mute off

> with 3.5 cable plugged out and mute on

> with 3.5 cable plugged out and mute off

Maybe it might reveal something?

I think on the video they don’t have a 3.5 cable plugged in but they are connected to it via BTooth.

Good luck my friend

Anytime.

Good luck.

I haven’t tried the alarm feature In the video they set the “connect” button to work with the alarm.

Hi. I'm not sure if you've given up on this. The user manuals and "support" team have certainly been useless in answering my questions on this same issue. Something triggered me to try again and it's worked - repeated a couple days, so it's verified.

0. Phone and speaker are connected via Bluetooth

1. Opened my music source, Spotify in this case. Started my playlist and programmed the sleep timer to stop playing AND keep the app OPEN

2. On the B&O App, programmed my alarm. And made sure the One Touch function was set to Alarm.

3. On the Beolit 17, pressed the One Touch Button to actually turn on the alarm function. I figured we needed to actually do something to sync the unit and the app - and we needed to press the button to do that, duh. (Nowhere in the manual does it say this).

4. Go to sleep and hope it works. Haha. I was zero expectations because of past failures. But surprisingly it worked this time. 3 step process - program your music source and keep it open, program the B&O App and keep it open, press the One Touch Button to initiate.

5. I'm guessing if you're just going to use the built in alarm tone, then you just do steps 2 and 3. The trick, in my mind now, just make sure to press the button on the speaker after you program the settings in the app.

Good luck.

thanks for the help, I solved this way, I gave up setting the alarm the night before, in real time set the alarm in the time when I open the app b & o and then the spotify playlist starts, the next day magically part of the wake up not always with the playlist but the beolit at least turns on, I have bought 2 the other problem is to make the stereo connection with the app b & o, on 10 only once the coupling succeeds, I solved by coupling directly on beolit 17. sorry for my english and thanks again for interest. PS. assistance B&O shameful !!!!!!!

I'm glad you found your own way. Indeed we users need to help each other because B&O support is no good. Well, I can say the alarm problem is definitely fixed now. It was a pity B&O allowed a good product feature get a bad rep because they were too uninterested to engage.
