Beogram 1202 - how do you select the right speed and size of your vinyl?

I have just bought a reconditioned BG 1202 and love the style of it. Works fine with the 5din to 2 pin adaptor with a Pioneer NC-50 amp..Trouble is, I don't know what the wheel on the left does except Press LIFT to lift arm. Anyone have a manual to give me instruction please?

Manuals are available on site  for silver and gold members
