My quadraphonic Beogram 6000 is long overdue for a service and has started playing up: the stylus doesn't lift up properly at the end of each side. In addition, the stylus assembly is loose on its pulley, the wood trim is loose around the whole turntable, the metal keys have fingermarks and the lid has some hazing. However, it's basically working OK, which is amazing considering what it's been through.
Martin (Dillen) has told me he's too busy to take on a project of this size, and I'm in preliminary discussions with Tim Jarman and Alistair Maclean. Does anybody have any other recommendations? Any idea how long a project like this should take or what I should expect to pay?
