Hello Peter and Svend fans,

When we received our BV 10 two and a half years ago, my wife (appart from being sad the perfect Avant was gone) was happy because she'll be able to show photographs directly on the Tv with USB port like her parents older Philips Tv.

No direct USB port darling, but you can use the USB port of the PS3 hooked up on the back of the Tv. That was close to divorce !

(When I took the Ipad home, the first think she wanted to do is use USB for the photographs - Errrr darling, no USB on the Ipad, but you can use the Imac...).

So now I'm confident for my wife because V1 as an USB port and so should have the BV 11 (maybe two, wow).

But, there's a but, my concern is that the USB port (on the V1) seems on the back of the Tv behind a plastic cover and with all the cables. Is that the best place B & O can do for "darling" to use her USB stick ?

Same for the mini-jack I would like to use sometimes.

How do you use the USB port or mini-jack if Tv is wall mounted ?

Same for my BV 10 on floor stand, if I whant to use the mini-jack, I have to lay on the floor, dismantle the low back plastic cover (all the cables immediatly fall down) and again to put the mini-jack off.

They should be 1°) hidden "à la BV 7" 2°) immediatly accessible.

And please don't tell me too stick a permanent mini-jack wire, there are enough cables on my Tv !

It should be plug and play anytime.

For the MX and Avant users, remember how it was easy to use the mini-jack ? Speaking of those old Tv's, I loved the on screen clock of the MX, replaced by a tiny off screen on the Avant, replaced by no clock att all on the BV 10. A shame.

Should BV 11 please both my wife and I...

If rumours are true, the connections of the BV11 will be on a deported box. Which makes perfect sense to me. Let's hope that this is true.

Hi Gregory,

connect an Apple Tv to your BV 10 and then your wife can watch photos and hear music via airplay without any cables.

Big Smile ... postpone the divorce ...

PS:   add a  "hidden installation" of an ATV a la V1 ...

I personaly won't buy a deported box Tv or the box should have to be installed on the back of the Tv (on a huge bracket with stb and ps3!).

On my BV7, I have "only" 4 speaker connections, the RF cable IN, the RF cable out, for ML distribution, the power cable, a connection for the Mac mini, the ML cable... that's not a big setup and it still makes a huge number of cable to get through that black "sock". There is no way I could run these to the TV if it was on the wall.

As the BV11 increase the number of connections, it would only be practical if they where deported to a separate box. Plus that would make the TV thinner, or give more space for the speaker system / motorised wall bracket - but again, that is speculation from my side.

Even "The Day After Tomorrow"   Smile  a BeoSystem3 + BeoVision 4 or 12 will be the only option for a separate box ...

The last time Vienna gave us a hint that contained the smiley " Smile" he was being subtle and "warning" (lol) us about the A9 archery range speaker, I hope he is not "warning" us about the new TV ...

Just had a look on the first pictures of bv11 on flat panel site : the connections seems very easy to access on the back of the tv, they are not separate or under a plastic cover. It will be cable paradise on the back...

LOL !

Dear friend,

definitively no warning - this time the Smile is just a smily - but - possibly
your "minister of finance" and/or your bank manager should be on alert ...

PS: You can translate "The Day After Tomorrow" also into  "The King Is Dead, Long Live The King"
