Peter, I must admit that my audiophile friend - who was very close to buying BL3s - bought a Naim system and Spendor speakers and saved a lot of money on buying B&O kit. Frankly, his system is better than my BS4/BL3 setup.

B&O *is* style over substance. Those comments are right. We're burying our heads if we think it isn't. Clearly we're a biased lot, but if you can be bothered to look around and mix and match systems, you can get more quality for a much lower price. I'm not going to disagree with their comments.

However, I still like my B&O kit, even if it costs me a shed load of cash. And as long as I'm happy, other people can do what they like :)

Peter,

That article in the Times is very interesting.  I agree somewhat with moxxey about some of the style over substance comment.  However what good is substance without some style?

No subscription necessary: Reuters

"Mantoni has said B&O wanted China to account for 20-30 percent of revenue within 2-3 years, compared with around 3 percent currently."  Sounds a bit optimistic.  Oh wait, I forgot they own the U.S. Embarrassed
